A structured diagnostic assessment for formal clarity with written report
Service Description
Assessment is comprehensive and includes clinical interview, standardised measures, behavioural questionnaires, and liaison with school. A written report with recommendations is provided. This includes: • 90-minute developmental and clinical history interview with parent(s) • 60–90 minute assessment and observation session with the child or young person • Standardised rating scales completed by parents and school • Review of relevant school information where available • Scoring and analysis of measures (non-contact time) • Comprehensive written report with findings and recommendations • 45-minute feedback session to discuss outcomes and next steps
Policy
ADHD Assessment Policy Booking and Payment ADHD assessments are offered as a structured assessment package. Payment is required at the time of booking in order to confirm the assessment appointment and begin the assessment process. Assessment Process The ADHD assessment includes a developmental and clinical history interview with parent(s), an assessment session with the child or young person, review and scoring of standardised measures, a comprehensive written report, and a feedback session to discuss findings and next steps. Questionnaires and School Information Completion of parent and school questionnaires forms an important part of the assessment process. These must be returned prior to the assessment appointment. Delays in receiving required information may result in the assessment needing to be rescheduled. Cancellation and Rescheduling If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may not be eligible for rescheduling or refund. Reports and Feedback Following completion of the assessment and review of all information, a written report will be prepared. A feedback session will then be arranged to discuss the findings, conclusions, and any recommendations. Scope of Assessment ADHD assessments are conducted in accordance with established clinical guidelines. Where the assessment suggests that additional evaluation may be helpful, further recommendations may be provided.
